The Academy for First Aid and Safety is a proud training partner with the Canadian Red Cross Society. We employ certified Canadian Red Cross instructors that deliver interactive, high quality, intense, and fun first aid, CPR, AED, and BLS (healthcare provider) training courses in the Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, and Brampton regions. All of our courses include mandatory AED (automated external defibrillator) training.
We have three facilities to serve you: in Toronto, Vaughan, and Brampton. Our Toronto / Vaughan location is our prime location, and is the ONLY TRAINING FACILITY of its kind, employing plexiglass barrier seating, amazing glass walls, and industrial sanitization equipment with Health Canada approved disinfectant that can kill viruses including Covid-19 in just 1.5 seconds upon contact! Not only that, we are located inside a PRIME SHOPPING MALL, with amazing modern décor, an on site food court and lounge!
At The Academy for First Aid and Safety, we take your safety as our TOP PRIORITY. This is why we are the first and only training academy to employ ULV (ultra low volume) foggers to rapidly disinfect the classroom during the lunch period. Our Health Canada approved disinfectant used to sanitize the classroom is proven to kill bacteria, mold, and viruses (including Covid-19) in just 1.5 seconds upon contact!

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is the core foundation of our training courses. Please note that this course does not include first aid, which is required by many employers and schools.
Emergency first aid and CPR covers 8 core chapters, including Check Call Care, choking, wound care, CPR with AED, breathing and circulation emergencies, and preparing to respond.
Standard First Aid includes everything from Emergency First Aid, with 5 additional chapters of learning including: Bone muscle and joint care, head injuries, poisons, diabetic emergencies, and seizure care.
This course is reserved for first responders, and healthcare practitioners. Emphasis is focused on high performance CPR, assisted ventilations, and team coordination.
An automated external defibrillator (or AED) can greatly increases the chances of survival during a cardiac arrest well over 50% if applied as soon as possible. For every minute that passes by, the chances of survival drop 10-12%. All students will learn how to properly set up and deliver a high voltage shock to the body in order to restore a normal heart beat rhythm in which restores blood flow to the brain.
